For the sake of brevity, I decided not to write about the characters remembering their past, although they often spend considerable time doing so. For example, Dany in her first chapter spends some time reminiscing about the fall of the Targaryens and her red house in Braavos, but I only mention that she is getting ready for a meeting with Khal Drogo before she is sold to him.
